Speed up your problem solving!
This is roughly from TI84Calcwiz's site!
Downloading apps and programs onto your TI-84 graphing calculator
can extend its abilities, help you gain an edge over your
competition in high-stakes tests, or even let you play games on your
calculator.
This guide applies to every TI-84, including the TI-84 Plus CE,
TI-84 Plus, TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition, and TI-84 Plus Silver
Edition calculators.
Any TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculator
Calculator Charging Cable (Mini USB)
TI Connect CE Software (Download Here)
Make sure you install TI Connect CE! You can't transfer any programs to your calculator without it.
TICalc.org: TICalc.org has the largest selection of math/science programs, as
anyone is able to upload.
TI84Calc.dev: TI84Calc.dev
is the best for easy-to-use, simple, and helpful programs from a
fellow student.
TI84CalcWiz.com: TI84CalcWiz.com is the best for games with a quick, painless
installation process.
TI.com: The Texas Instruments website is the best for high quality apps,
but has a relatively small selection.
All the websites are quite simple to navigate, except for
TICalc.org, which can be a bit confusing for beginners. For it,
click on the link above and choose your calculator. From there,
click on
basic
, then choose a category, either
math
, science
, or even games
.
You can then download any program you find interesting by clicking
on its name.
Some downloads come in the form of a .zip
file. This
means that you need to extract the contents before continuing. To do
this, open the .zip
file and drag all of the files
inside onto your Desktop. If the program instead comes in the form
of a .8xg
or a .8xp
file, move the file to your Desktop. No need to extract first!
Open TI Connect CE, and click the Calculator Explorer
tab on the
sidebar. This is the second option under the camera. Plug your
calculator into your computer using your charging cable, then make
sure it is on.
You should now see a list of all of the files on your calculator.
Drag all of the downloaded files into the list to send them to your
calculator. A window should now pop up. Click SEND
to send the
program to your calculator.
If no window showed up when dragging in the files: you can manually
browse to the file you downloaded by clicking Actions
in the top
bar, and then “Add files from computer…”
If everything worked out, the program/app should now be on your calculator! See below for how to launch it.
Programs and apps are stored under two different places on TI-84 calculators. If you are unsure whether the file you downloaded is an app or program, just check both locations.
Press the [apps]
button on your calculator, and select
the app you would like to use from the menu.
Press the [prgm]
button on your calculator, select the
program you want to use, and then press enter to run it.
If you get “Error: Invalid”, this means you have a newer operating
system that disables the ability to run games.
If you get an “Error: Syntax” or an “Error: Archived”, this means
you need to update your operating system.
To exit the game, simply press [del]
,
[mode]
, [clear]
, or [on]
.
To delete a program, Press [2nd]
, [+]
,
[2]
, [7]
, and then selected the program
you want to delete and confirm.

Feel free to contact me for any questions, comments, or suggestions. I will try to respond to every email or DM I get, but keep in mind that these programs are provided under the MIT license. Quick Information!
This website showcases the TI 84 Calculator programs created by Sachin Agrawal. I'm a self-taught programmer who knows many languages and I'm into app, game, and web development. I got my TI 84+ CE in 6th grade, and have been creating programs for it ever since, with an emphasis on improving functionality and speeding up calculations, especially for higher level math classes beyond Calculus.
In my free time, I like to play the popular block-based videogame Minecraft. I have a small YouTube channel featuring that content. Please consider subscribing if you like my calculator programs, as it really helps me out: youtube.com/@scinovuscrafted.
